The USP Agency for Academic Information Management (AGUIA) is the University of São Paulo’s agency responsible for aligning the management of information, intellectual production and libraries with the institution’s strategic objectives.
The Agency continues the activities previously developed by the Integrated Library System (SIBiUSP), while at the same time incorporating new fronts and expanding its scope of action.
AGUIA’s mission is to promote science and open access, the generation and use of information, contributing to the development of society, excellence in teaching, research and extension in all areas of knowledge. This promotion takes place through specialized assistance, administration, dissemination and preservation of registered knowledge.
The Libraries that make up the Agency offer services and products essential to the constant training and updating of students, faculty and non-teaching staff, in addition to the public outside USP. Offering environments conducive to study, learning and research, the Libraries maintain high quality printed collections, facilitate the access and use of digital content, guide undergraduate and graduate students, post-docs, professors, employees and the general public.
