The HUC Library Network provides an online platform that advances collaborative research on the 5 key global challenges defined by the HUC in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2030. By coordinating the activities of the associated libraries, the HUC Library Network facilitates the exchange of experiences, digital tools and information resources and generates an enhanced space for education, innovation and research. 

Universidad Austral

Austral University Libraries includes five libraries which are located on its different campuses: Facultades library, IAE Business School library and Health Sciences library (Pilar, Buenos Aires province), Baires library (Buenos Aires City) and Rosario library (Sante Fe province).  Our Libraries’ mission is to provide constant support, service and guidance for teaching, research and study activities, covering the information needs of faculty, researchers, students, alumni and the learning community. The libraries are divided in different reading and silent study rooms. The collections are open and available to everyone in the university and its shelves are identified by the different faculty colours; this as an easy way for the library users to identify the topics of information they´re looking for. Due to its great heritage importance, the libraries have under their guard the special collections of José María Ruda -a distinguished international jurist-, the personal collection of the archaeologist Julian Caceres Freyre, the photographic archives of Jehan Vellard and Prof. Echauri’s philosophy and aesthetics collection.

York University

York University Libraries (YUL) supports York’s diverse community as they engage in purposeful research that advances knowledge and creates positive change. YUL is comprised of libraries located on York’s main campus in Toronto – including Steacie Science and Engineering Library and Bronfman Business Library – as well as branches on our bilingual Glendon campus, La Casita Azul on our eco-campus in Costa Rica, and soon our new Markham Centre Campus (opening in 2022).
YUL is recognized for rich historical and community-engaged archives and special collections, progressive services for accessibility, innovative technologies, and robust services in support of research and open scholarship. Through its three primary divisions – Digital Engagement and Strategy, Research and Open Scholarship, and Teaching and Learning – YUL provides campus leadership on open access, open education, open data, and other scholarly communication priorities. YUL is also home to the institutional repository YorkSpace, a platform that enables York community members to organize and preserve their research online and showcases the scholarship of the York community.

La Casita Azul is an education and learning resource centre in Santa Elena, Costa Rica, that supports York’s increasing socio-environmental research, education and community outreach within the region as part of the University’s Las Nubes project.

Construction is underway on York’s Markham Centre Campus, where a new YUL library will open in 2022.

The University of the West Indies

– Open Campus

The Open Campus Libraries and Information Services (OCLIS) supports and enhances the learning, teaching and research activities of the Open Campus community of the University of the West Indies. The OCLIS provides a range of online and onsite resources and services to both students and staff pursuing studies and research online and face-to-face. The OCLIS has several small to medium size libraries located at Open Campus Country Sites (OCCS) throughout the English-speaking Caribbean engaged in a wide range of activities including full circulation services and research and reference support.

Universidad Andrés Bello

The misión of the Library System of Universidad Andrés Bello, organized in a quality management system, is to satisfy in a transversal way the information requirements of the university community and promote its integral growth, preparing it to fase in an autonomous way the teaching-learning processs according to a new complex and challenging enviroment. Being so a unit in permanent innovation and improvement of its services that promote research through knowledge management.
It consistsv of 9 physical libraries distributed in the Santiago, Viña del Mar and Concepción branches. The current printed bibliographic collection contains 492,185 volumes and 161,473 titles.
It has a Virtual Library which users can access to obtain information remotely from various resources, services and online tools, allowing access to the catalog of physical resources available; also access to electronic resources distributed in various areas of knowledge; the opportunity to register online to attend training workshops provided by the library; interaction with social networks to maintain constant communication; access to digital resources; connection to the Institutional Academic Repository (RIA); and the Portal of Electronic Journals UNAB.
The current offer of electronic resources available covers the different areas of knowledge taught at the University wich are distributed in three main types of formats. Subscribed Databases (38), Electronic Journal (33,742) and ebooks (73,761). Each of them contributes to the, teaching of undergraduate, postgraduate, and research carried out at the institution.

Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile

The UC Chile Libraries are an integrated system of services and information resources comprising ten libraries distributed across all UC campuses and the Dr. Sótero del Río Hospital. Its collection is one of the most important in Chile. It consists of 1.3 million printed volumes and more than 400 thousand titles in the electronic compilation. The Escolar Futuro Library is also a part of this system. This program supports the learning process of children and teenagers through the creation of school libraries and the generation of spaces where cultural and academic activities take place.

Universidad de los Andes

The library of the University of the Andes was born within the framework of the foundation of the University in 1948. It began its work in parallel with it, as a complement to the university system. The services provided by the Library System is focused on maintaining user satisfaction, with dynamic services aimed at continuous improvement of processes and focused on all interested parties as the main axis and objective of its work. Its mission is to provide innovative, relevant and quality information resources and services that serve as support for the development of academic, research and knowledge creation processes, articulated with the social and civic responsibility of the Universidad de los Andes.

Universidad de Costa Rica

The Sistema de Bibliotecas, Documentación e Información [(SIBDI), Libraries System, Documentation and Information] was founded on August 26, 1946. It consists of twenty seven libraries, located in seven campus locations at Universidad de Costa Rica (UCR), across the country.
SIBDI supports a vast number of programs related to education, research, social action and management through the acquisition, organization, archival, access and effective recovery of data resources, as well by providing a high quality service offer that is up to date with the latest technologies and teaching approaches that aim to encourage the creativity and scientific research, and to promote the acquisition and transfer of knowledge.
Users have access to a large range of bibliographical resources in different formats, in many disciplines that cover the academic offers of the Universidad de Costa Rica.

Universidad San Francisco de Quito

The library of the University San Francisco of Quito-USFQ is open and available to the USFQ community and the general public. It has a selected and updated collection of books in all the areas of knowledge, subscriptions to the most important scientific and technical journals and an extensive collection of audiovisual and multimedia materials. The library has almost 200,000 printed books and access to approximately 1,000,000 ebooks in full text. Also, it has hundreds of millions of scientific and academic articles through our 50 data bases and virtual libraries. We have four libraries to fulfill our community´s needs: The General Library, The Library of Medicine, The Hayek Library and the GAIAS Library in our Galapagos Campus located in the Isle of San Cristobal.

TEC de Monterrey

The Tecnológico de Monterrey Library integrates a system made up of 46 Library precincts on several campuses across the country in México and a national office. The library system operates under a collaboration model that allows integrating a network of library services that serves three educational levels: high school, undergraduate, postgraduate, and research.

The University of Miami Libraries (UML) ranks among the top research libraries in North America with a collection of over 4 million volumes and over 135,000 current serial subscriptions. UML’s mission is to provide faculty, students, researchers, and staff with the highest quality access to collections, information services, learning support, and digital expertise in support of the University’s mission to transform lives. The UM Libraries provides support and services for approximately 11,500 undergraduates, 6,500 graduate students, and 17,000 faculty and staff.
