CERTIFICACION EN INNOVACION Y EMPRENDIMIENTO SOCIAL “CAMINOS A LA PROPERIDAD”

“Caminos a la Prosperidad” es una certificación en innovación y emprendimiento social diseñada y ofrecida por el Consorcio Hemisférico de Universidades (HUC) de manera gratuita y virtual a los estudiantes de pregrado y posgrado de las universidades de la red. En esta certificación los estudiantes trabajan en grupos interuniversitarios e interdisciplinarios para aplicar los conocimientos del área de estudio en desafíos reales que atraviesan nuestros socios formadores. La temática que engloba a los módulos y al tipo de organizaciones y proyectos con los que trabajaremos este año es “Cambio Climático, Sostenibilidad y Resiliencia”. 

HUC VIRTUAL RESEARCH INTERNSHIPS 2023

Hosted by the Hemispheric University Consortium (HUC) and Universidad de los Andes, the third edition of the HUC Virtual Research Internships 2023 facilitated the scientific collaboration and international academic experiences among professors, researchers, and students from HUC universities across the continent. RESEARCH AND INNOVATION OBSERVATORY

The Hemispheric University Consortium Research and Innovation Observatory (HUC.R&IO) is a multilateral online platform that showcases research projects, facilities, capacity building programs and annual R&D reports of Consortium members. HUC.R&IO seeks to encourage joint research opportunities, foster collaboration and highlight innovative initiatives and their impact in the 5 key challenges defined by Consortium.

HEMISPHERIC STUDENT DIALOGUES ON SDGS 2023

Hosted by the Hemispheric University Consortium and Universidad San Francisco de Quito, the Hemispheric Student Dialogues on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) consists of a series of workshops aimed at promoting intercultural dialogues and digital skills across the hemisphere. Students joined a workshop from November 7-10, 2023 to discuss key challenges of the 21st century.

Hosted by the Hemispheric University Consortium and Universidad San Francisco de Quito, the Hemispheric Student Dialogues on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) consists of a series of workshops aimed at promoting intercultural dialogues and digital skills across the hemisphere. Women In STEM Entrepreneurship es una iniciativa liderada por el IAE Business School que nace en el 2018 a través de la financiación del BID Lab. El programa está dirigido a favorecer el proceso emprendedor en mujeres STEM y promover la integración de las mujeres en el ecosistema emprendedor.

The Hemispheric University Consortium provides an ideal platform to connect professors, researchers, and students from HUC universities across the continent. The goal of this HUC.IO Matchmaking event is to facilitate this establishment of contacts, with the intention of:

• Conducting virtual research internships.

• Collaborating as research assistants.

• Participating as data collectors abroad (e.g. for multi-country projects).

• Contacts for future projects and graduate studies.

HUC LIBRARY NETWORK

The HUC Library Network provides an online platform that advances collaborative research on the 5 key global challenges defined by the HUC in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2030. By coordinating the activities of the associated libraries, the HUC Library Network facilitates the exchange of experiences, digital tools and information resources and generates an enhanced space for education, innovation and research.

HUC. IO Matchmaking event for research Internships

HEMISPHERIC STUDENT DIALOGUES (April 2021)

The Hemispheric Student Dialogues on SDGs provide an opportunity for virtual integration between students from Hemispheric University Consortium (HUC) member universities. Hosted by HUC & Universidad San Francisco de Quito (USFQ), the Hemispheric Student Dialogues on SDGs consist of a series of workshops over a weeklong period. Students joined faculty and students from across the consortium to engage in virtual international dialogue using the SDGs & Key HUC challenges as a framework. Students who attended workshops were assigned  collaborative deliverables (such as a video, photo gallery, infographics etc.) to be completed after the workshop which are showcased online. Students developed key intercultural and digital competencies to address the challenges of the 21st century.

Conversaciones de Futuro: ODS-COVID 

La pandemia del Covid-19 ha impactado seriamente a la agenda por la sostenibilidad en América Latina y el Caribe. Después de Asia (sin incluir a China), Latinoamérica fue la región más golpeada del mundo en términos de disminución del PIB  en el transcurso de 2020, con una caída del 7,4%. El crecimiento de la informalidad y la debilidad de muchos Estados en la región pueden dificultar aún más la consecución de los 17 Objetivos de Desarrollo  Sostenible (ODS). 

HEMISPHERIC STUDENT DIALOGUES (October 202o)

Hosted by the Hemispheric University Consortium and Universidad San Francisco de Quito, the Hemispheric Student Dialogues on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) consisted of a series of workshops aimed at promoting intercultural dialogues and digital skills across the hemisphere. Students joined a workshop from October 19 – 23, 2020 to discuss key challenges of the 21st century.

The COVID-19 Hemispheric Response site is an interactive resource where member institutions share knowledge and assets that address the current crisis: Covid-19 websites, resources for students and faculty, online and collaborative resources, research and innovation projects, facilities supporting the emergency, and webinars.
